About This Movie / Film
Released on January 17, 2003, Kangaroo Jack is a buddy comedy film directed by David McNally and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The film follows two best friends from Brooklyn, Charlie Carbone (Jerry O'Connell) and Louis Booker (Anthony Anderson), who are forced to deliver an envelope full of cash to a mysterious contact in Australia. While trying to take a photo of a kangaroo dressed in Louis' lucky jacket, the animal escapes into the outback with the money. The pair embark on a wild chase across the Australian desert to retrieve the cash and stay out of trouble with a mob boss back home. Despite being marketed as a family-friendly film with a talking kangaroo, it leans more towards a fish-out-of-water comedy with high-stakes action.
